Hi all, I posted recently about my husbands recovery from a 3 x CABG just over four months ago, very grateful for all of the responses and advice, they have been very helpful and reassuring to both of us. As previously mentioned he has recovered extremely well but is occasionally becoming breathless, chest tightness when walking, particularly as it is quite hilly where we live, but nothing like the Angina pain he had before the op. Cardio nurse has suggested that this is likely to be anxiety and will iimprove over time. One question though, prior to his surgery he was put on Clopidogril blood thinner but post surgery he has been given Ticagrelor, I have read that this can cause breathlessness/tightness and wonder if anybody else had experienced this? Thanks again

Hi I had the same problem with Ticagrelor. It was changed to Clopidogrel and I could breathe better. However as the months went by my breathing became very difficult. I was on 80mg of Atorvastatin and now reduced to 20mg my breathing has again improved. Wish you the best
