I was lucky I was with him at the end.

Sorry to hear you sad news . My condolences to you and your family. Glad you were with him to the end. Take your time to grief and don't try and be brave . Grief is all consuming and effects you physically and mentally . I know you will feel like curling into a ball and shutting the rest of the world out. And everyday will be a struggle from now on . I didn't want to bother washing or cleaning my teeth but I had to otherwise I would have let my husband down. You must eat and drink but you will find you lose weight I call it grief weight loss. Your body uses up more calories with bone crushing grief.

Don't fight how you feel after the sadness and feeling all alone and what's the point of life , rage and angry will hit you . It's all part of grief. Use it to get through each day.

It's been 20 years since my husband died and the rage and anger I feel at him dieing gets my though every day. But grief still overwhelms me at times.

Talk out loud everyday to your husband I promise it will help . I have shouted at my husband for dieing ,swore at him and raged at the fact he was fit and healthy yet he got cancer and died at 47. I was born disabled with small hole in the side of my heart. I was prepared to die first.

Not only has your husband died but half of yourself. He was the love of your life and you his together you made a whole. Not only has he died but your present and future but you will always have your past.

I hate to learn the hard way not to be brave but at 45 I didn't know what such grief was like. Let others help you with all the paperwork as unfortunately you will have decisions to make when it's the last thing you want to do.

Grief is exhausting so sleep as much as you can . And if you are religious and find feathers in your home think it's your husband trying out his wings. I told my best friend that and the next day found 3 feathers in her home. She has kept them. But it helped her.

You will unfortunately find people especially after the funeral disappear from your life and some will expect you to get over your grief in 6 months. But grief like love never dies.

But think how lucky you where to have him the only person in the world who knew the real you and you him . Some people live their whole lives and never know love like that. Grief is the price we pay for love . 💐

What good advice you have given here Murderfan It covers every aspect of grief. I had many pure white feathers when l lost my husband 15 years ago. One large one on the kitchen windowsill and the window wasn’t open. They were on my front doorstep when l opened the front door. Every day, l had one on the car. I still get them now and again. I have kept them in a small box. Gloria Hunniford said she also had them when her daughter Carolyn died. Amazing. Xxxx

I was very sorry to hear this news. I wish peace for his family and friends as they go through the grieving process.

It seems like it was about 1-2 months ago that he was advising us on the forum about the need to check our B12 levels (and possibly take a supplement) if we took Omeprazole. I thanked him and told him that I would check with my doctor about adding B12 to my daily regimen. I did just that, and my doctor agreed (at least on a short-term basis). I will always be grateful for that information from Curryandchips. I also told him that I liked his username, as it sounded so delicious.

I will miss reading his posts on this forum, but he added to our lives while he was here! ❤️
