I haven't posted for a long time, but commented on posts here and there....and read all daily.
I wonder if anyone could give me some advice re: magnesium supplement...
I bought my last one from Holland&Barrett and it was magnesium oxide, I have read somewhere it is the most inferior type. I stopped taking it.
I'd rather pay more and have a better quality supplement instead of swalloving loads of chalk or similar each day. I understand there are grades of magnesium, just not sure which one to purchase, and I'm sure lots of you hearties are taking it and will be able to advise me. One of you posted about magnesium, explaining and recommending long time ago, alas! can't find the post now!🤔🙄

I'm just being curious. Why do you need to take magnesium? Your pharmacist could advise you if it is necessary, or your GP could surely prescribe it.
Holland and Barrett or Boots are in my opinion the most reliable suppliers, but supplements are a bit of a vague territory. It's better to get vitamins and minerals as part of your diet in my opinion.
I will speak to my GP or pharmacist re: interference with my prescribed meds.
I was seeking advice on what type of the supplement to use. As for obtaining it from my diet, it seems to me that I'm not getting enough of it that way thus I'm deficient.
We use Magnesium Citrate which a better source & easily absorbed . I buy Lamberts, you can get it in powered form( great because you can adjust dose to suit ) or tablet form . Tablet form is available on Amazon . I use the tablet form at night before bed & powered form in daytime . I researched options & this recommendation was from a friend , who was an NHS dieticiacian & allergy specialist
