Hello,
Can anyone recommend a travel insurance provider who may provide cover for heart conditions or under investigation?
Struggling to find anyone and unsure what type of policy to take out.

Dear Blondie12345
Sorry to say this but should you be considering going on holiday when your heart matter is still in an investigation mode?
Let’s face it the only insurance company that will touch you, would be one that would insurance you at the highest point of risk, and understandably so.
Your Dr/Cardiology dept could provide you with an up to date report on what investigations are under way and if the insurance company excepts this then ok.
Whatever you do make sure that you tell the insurance everything and in writing, but to be honest with you unless its a real emergency I would wait until you know all the answers yourself about your heart journey before even thinking of a holiday.
Think,
Do I want to be ill somewhere else?
Do I want to worry that my insurance will cover me to get help and home?
Take care
BlondieNot sure if blue is talking from experience. I can only talk about my own personal experience. After a heart attack and blue lighted to A & E I had a stent procedure. Observation in hospital for two weeks where it was decided I needed a bypass procedure. Asked if it was ok to fly overseas while I waited. Cardio advised that it was a minimum risk but check insurance was aware of my circumstances. I used Staysure and was accepted.
Just be honest and check with your cardio team if safe to fly.
I think you are asking 2 different things here.
Flying with a diagnosed heart condition that is controlled by medication or recovering after a procedure is one thing and there are several companies that will cover you, try a comparison site.
As far as getting insurance while you are still under investigation is something very different and I am doubtful that any insurance company will cover you.
In 2017 I had booked to go to Australia/NZ when I started having angina pain, my cardiologist told me I shouldn't fly so I cancelled the trip, but even if the cardiologist had said it should be okay I very much doubt my insurance company would have covered me as I was waiting for an angiogram to see 'what next'.
I LOVE my holidays but you have to make sure that you have cover and even if your Dr does give you the go ahead, it doesn't mean any insurance company will cover you especially when your problems are still under investigation.
Staysure and AllClear are excellent for us hearties and others with heart conditions. However the will not insure people in the initial weeks following a cardiac event or surgery. If you are investigation it is not even worth asking!
Yes at present there is no diagnosed medical condition, just under investigation.
As all of the above, no insurer will cover for the declared symptoms.
Hi. I've found Staysure to be great. Make sure you declare everything x
