travel insurance
How has this sum been explained to you.?I would want it itemised.heart failure can cover a lot of issues.
Have you tried Saga? I found them very good as you can actually talk to them . Also very competitive rates.
Go to pumping marvellous and their travel insurance guide -

You will find a link to medicaltravelcompared, give it a go.
Try Avanti
my first yearly travel insurance was over £700 . That was without cancellation cover and limited European destinations. The fact that you are going on a cruise will have a huge impact on the cost of a policy due to the increased costs should you need to claim while onboard.
Cruise insurance is always very expensive due to having to cover you being evacuated by air from the ship in the case of an emergency. Try Saga.
you will get a range of quotes from justtravelcover.com
Insurance companies don't tend to like cruises for obvious reasons, especially when they are calling into third world ports or into the US where costs are very high.
I don't know when your heart failure was diagnosed, if it is stable or if you have flown since.
I was quoted that after my heart attack when I went to the Caribbean. North America is more expensive than anywhere else in the world.
ALLCLEAR have bee good with me;however, I think you pay a premium if you are cruising
The British Insurance Brokers' Association lists a lot of brokers who provide travel insurance for people with medical conditions. You'll find the list at biba.org.uk/find-insurance?....
Try Staysure as they cater for people with pre existing health issues. Also try your cruise company - then have a fabulous time!
try TravelForMedical - I’ve used a couple of times and a lot cheaper than many other quotes I got through although I don’t have heart failure
Hi try insurancewith.com I have used them for a long time when I had heart failure and now after my transplant, they do cruise cover. Char
have you tried InsuranceWith.com as they specialise in medical conditions
Check some more companies . I live in the Rep. of Ireland and my husband who also has heart failure are just back from a Mediterranean Cruise. I expected travel insurance to be through the roof but was told that as long as he wasn't travelling against doctors advice and was taking his meds as prescribed that his insurance was just the same as mine approx 35 euro.
Hello I cruise a lot and use all clear, fell ill on cruise ship 10 weeks ago and diagnosed with afib bpm 180 they treated me on board and I had to pay the bill of 3000.00 on board, had wonderful treatment and when I returned submitted claim to all clear and money was in my account in 12 days make sure that you include cruise cover in the policy I pay 1100 pounds for annual policy with lots of different medical conditions for me and my husband going away again soon and they increased my cover on the policy for my afib by a reasonable amount, also the department you ring to claim are UK based so easy to communicate and were very efficient, this was a straightforward claim and not transferred to a hospital abroad but it have confidence in them if that ever happens, we claimed 3 years ago when my husband had a stroke and we were with staysure then and they left us stranded in Iceland for 2 weeks and it took 8 months to get our money back they may have improved now or we were just unlucky. The saying is if you can't afford good travel insurance you can't afford to travel! It is so important our Iceland medical fees came to 39000.00 we paid some of it up front and then staysure eventually started paying but dealing with a call centre in Thailand was not ideal so hope you get sorted end enjoy your cruise!
Hi George. I have heart failure and use All clear insurance. You need to complete a questionnaire (online or talk to a rep). I found these to be the best, after some research for my existing heart failure conditions. Cost is down to length of holiday really.
Hi George I went on a cruise from Portsmouth for 15 days. It cost me £350 and my 5 month holiday in Thailand was £1760....Possibly our medical conditions and medications are different, but other insurance companies were more expensive for me.
