I don't have a family but I had 2 close friends and the 3 of us got on well. No arguments or even cross words.
Charlie died at 77.
Then 18months later Kevin lost his battle to cancer.
A strange thing happened to me just once. I saw Kevin in my room for only about 5 seconds and he looked well. I don't know if I was sleeping but I got up immediately and called his name.
Has anyone else had that happen?

Really sorry to read about your friends, as for seeing someone you've lost, that is exactly what happened to me.
My Dad was looking really well in my dream, his weight was back to normal and he looked just as I remember him, I said to him 'Well Dad, they're certainly looking after you' and I swear he smiled back.
As I write this Chase, I can see him clearly but that is in my mind <3 it's all very comforting I feel.
Yes it happened to me. It was my mother in law. My husband was her favourite child out of the three smashing children she had. We were in bed my husband was asleep I was just laying down to sleep & all of a sudden my mother in law was there clear as day stood by my husbands side of the bed. She said “don’t worry son I’m alright now” then disappeared. It didn’t scare me I just lay down & went to sleep.
The next day I wasn’t sure if to say anything to him thinking he’d say it was nonsense that I must of been asleep. Anyway I did & he said he’d had a dream that she was right by his bedside saying those exact same words.
I’ve had a sense of my passed loved ones being with me but nothing as clear as that.
I would give anything to see anyone I have lost in my life. It would be so helpful to me in so many ways. I am envious of all on here who have had that experience. Once in awhile I see light out of side of my eye, but think is probably just flash in the retina or some odd perception. I ran perception lab experiments in college and wish I had went further in that particular field of learning. Thanks for sharing you delightful experience.
