Father's Day

Today is the first father's day since my dad passed away 6 months ago. It would have also been his birthday today. Words can't describe how much I miss him. Love you dad.

My dad died back in April and it's still early days for you as well at 6 months.

I'm feeling a lot better in myself though and it doesn't hurt like it did when it first happened and I don't feel as angry as I did at first.

Today we decided to give Sunday lunch out a miss and do our own at home.

Just having a quiet day and will talk to my brother later. Overall feeling better now as I have mental health issues as well. Have a lot of good memories which really help. xx

It's tough. 7 years and I still resent the adverts for Father's day cards etc... but the memories help and the fact that he knew I loved him.

It will get easier, I promise.
