Do your ulcers itch before they become inflamed?

Yes, I get a mixture of pain, itching, and painful itching. I was recently told, though, that mine might be hidradenitis supporativa though. Not sure how one would differentiate between an ulcer and hidradenitis supporativa either......

I get I definitely get intense itching before an ulcer comes out. In fact it is often the first sign that something is wrong. These are usually ulcers where blood vessels have died deep below the surface. A doctor told me once that the ulcer is deep down and healthy tissue on top dies because it doesn’t get any oxygen maybe this causes the itching?
