less chances of having a child soon?
We had no difficulties and have a boy and a girl. I was on low dose steroid and an immunosuppressant when pregnant and was monitored by the Behçet’s team. Good luck!
I have two teenage boys. I was diagnosed when I was pregnant with the first so as you can imagine I was heavily medicated. Pain meds and steroids. He’s healthy with the exception of asthma and lots of allergies. Because of this I opted to forego the prednisone with my second child. I had no issues, as I did not have any active genital ulcers at the time of birth. I wish you the best on your journey; may positive thoughts, people, and situations surround you. ☺️
Hi. I have a very mild BD and never had any medication other than supplements but unfortunately I have been trying to conceive for a long time unsuccessfully. I'm 33 now and have high FSH levels. But I think it has nothing to do with BD. My FSH levels are the same if I'm having a flare up or not. Wish you all the best and try not to stress out (I know it's easy to say). I hope you have more luck than me. But remember you're not alone in this boat.
I had no problem conceiving either of my two. Also during pregnancy and a long time after I had no symptoms of BD. My consultant said that could be due to body producing more own natural steroid when pregnant. I generally take a short course of prednisone steroids when I get a flare. Good luck!
