Does anyone have problems with lymph gland on face infections. My daughter had what looked like a cyst that burst oozing puss down her face.

Disgusting but after antibiotics she still has the problem, not as big but still painful. The rheumatologist said being on azathioprine won't be helping.

She is due for her fifth IV Infliximab in two weeks and her body is telling us its needing it now. Amazing medication. But all in all a much happier little girl. Xx

Hi Michja....that sounds pretty nasty and anything on the face is hard to deal with.

I haven't really had cysts but I know others have had here and hopefully they will be able to login and tell you about it. My biggest problems are not really to do with the skin other than the obvious ulcers, pseudofoliculitis, rashes and lumps under the skin.

The one's under the skin are connected to the lymphatic system and as the Doctor says being on Immune Suppressants doesn't help. I am so glad the infliximab is working well for her and hope this episode of the cyst clears us quickly.

Sorry I couldn't be more help but perhaps someone else can

take care...both of you

Hi Micha, glad to hear she is feeling better. Children are so resilient . I have suffered with BD for over 27 years and coping ok just now after a recent flare that lasted almost a year. All my family are in good health......no BD. my middle son however has suffered with this problem of lymph cysts since he was a teenager. He gets them on his back, really really bad ones on his neck and often his face. Been to many many docs but still not seen a consultant dermatologist. What I want to say to you, is do not let this lie......push the docs for a reason, treatment etc. my son is the macho kind and hates to go to the docs but I so wished he had done something sooner, as with all cutting back (here in London) especially....they just say he would be wasting the consultants time and nothing can be done. I too with my flare even with a recommendation from my Prof my GP didn't refer me for 6 months and of course it was another 6 months before I was seen. Anyway be strong for your little girl and try to sort this don't be weak as I probably was.

Take care and hugs

Thank you both for your reply. Such an annoying disease affecting so many different aspects of the body. We went to the. Doctor and he gave us creams and something for oral thrush. I'm sure things will heal soon.
