Phoning Care Home twice in day

Because Son is not eating properly I phone Care Home at least twice to find out if he has eaten

Because they don't take to doctors - I really worry

Am I being unreasonable

Hi there sorry to hear that your Son is having difficulties. I think maybe he's needing time to adjust if he's just gone into Supported Living, it could be he's needing to take back a bit of control, by not eating, maybe gone into defence mode, or low mood & not feel like eating. Maybe only call once a day, ask for Update, or pop in with a nice Cake or his Favourite Snack. It is good to check up on how Son is being treated & what they do day to day, Care Plan etc. Check with him too with no one else around, ask him does he like the Workers do they smile towards him etc.

You are not being unreasonable. You may feel like are fussing or overreacting but you love your son and want the best for him. You are not alone with the way you feel and staff at the home should be used to family reacting this way, as it is part of their job.

Hopefully if you talk to the staff you will get the reassurance that you need.
