Mobility equipment insurance
I bought a boot mobility scooter some 18 months ago and after an initial 3 months' free insurance, I was given a quote by Mark Bates but thought it was extremely expensive. I then asked Saga if it could be added to my home insurance and yes it can. As I am not travelling abroad for the time being, I have no practical knowledge, but it may be worth checking the holiday insurance company to see if it can be added on under "baggage". If it is a "one-off" trip it may be a better option. At the end of the day, it will depend on what you need the insurance to cover. Good luck anyway and have a good holiday.
My efix electric wheelchair got damaged a few years ago on an easyJet flight. As long as the claim form is registered before leaving the airport then the airline company will pay for the repair or replacement - depending on which is needed. EasyJet paid for mine to be repaired. The main thing is to have logged the damage BEFORE leaving the airport.
