Mobility Scooters Abroad

Hi both my Husband and I need to hire mobility scooters when we go on holiday and I am looking for recommendations of resorts and hotels that hire them and have a place to charge and store.

We tend to stick to Benidorm as its so disabled friendly but we fancy a change.

If you know anywhere tbats within a 3.5 hr flight from UK, is lively and can accommodate our needs please let me know.

Thanks.

Hi Sharona...... I've never been abroad so can't help with your request but why not Google what you want and see what it comes up with, you will generally find that Google cross refers everything...... I also use an electric scooter at the moment.

Hola Sharon, my husband has ataxia but fortunately we do not need a scooter yet, I can recommend Santa Eulalia in Ibiza for a change for you both as it has a nice long prom and a marina and high street on the flat. Please ask for anymore details, Heather

My friends live in Spain and they say people who are not disabled are hiring them to go around as it is cheaper than getting a taxi. They say that unless you have a blue badge and provide this they will not accept you.

We both have blue badges and use them at home too.

yes most do, you could e mail the hotel and ask, some hotels will even arrange the hire for you, so when you get to the hotel the scooter is already there, also the collection of it. Might cost a bit more, but its 1 less thing for you to do. Happy holiday hunting.
