On my ‘internaf ‘ forum I found this: walknchair.com/ . This is in the US.
Is there anything like this in the UK, where I live?
Does anybody here know anything about these chair/walkers? What is their opinion?

Hi have been spending many hours looking for a suitable chair system for friend with ataxia but still not found anything that really fits the bill. Rollz.com have what looks to be a similar product to the one you mention but with smaller wheels. My friend can't walk unaided but wants to keep on walking so would like something that is stable and can also be used as chair - so far so good. It needs to be easily transportable , again, tick that box. However she wants to be able to use it on a beach or over rougher ground. So chunky wheels are needed but don't seem to be available unless you get a big chunky chair rather than a walking support, doesn't fold, can't be easily lifted into the car etc. In her ideal world this walking support/ chair could also have a motor attached if wanted so it could be converted into a lightweight power chair. There are systems like this available but they only seem to be for wheelchairs.......so you're back to thinner wheels or a big chunky outdoor chair. If anyone has any other ideas for how to get friend back to being to able to go out somewhere for the day and accompany her dogs out walking again please let me know! Thanks and sorry for hijacking your post. Have just remembered a site think it's called the travelator will check and post later
Have just looked the one I meant is called a trionic veloped walker. Please note this isn't a tried and tested recommendation just something I've seen when searching
Hi Klazien, Have found wheel chair on the website you gave. It seems to be very expensive but very useful. Have you looked at Trionic Velopeds. I was virtually housebound before I got one about 4 years ago. Ican take my dog with me and can go to Thetford Forest and walk on uneven ground. It's wheels come off easily and it can be folded to go in the back of my car. It has a seat to rest on when I get tired. Chris x
hi Klazien
I don't know anything about this product, but I did see they did overseas shipping, so presumably they can ship to the UK. I . recently had a wheelchair shipped from Malaysia and it only took 3 days, and cost about £200.
Thank you for your replies. I have looked at the websites of them. I already have a rollator with seat and small wheels (bought second-hand in excellent condition for only £15.). We might be able to change the wheels of that one for bigger wheels because as it is it is not good on rough terrain. That rollator from Trionic Velopeds with 14” wheels seems to be the best but very expensive.
Yes mine was expensive- over £700 when Ibought mine from Sweden but I find that they can be bought in UK now. I use mine every day especially in the garden (I'm a keen gardener) and don't know how I would manage without it. It is big and goes up and down kerbs. I know some people use theirs on the beach but haven't been that adventurous Chris x
Hi I think this is waste of money. I UK your a similar product - four wheeled walker with a seat - the chair is manual and someone h as to push you. that is NOT independent - independent is when you do things by yourself. check this out
