Just a bit of [hopefully] helpful info. Some people buy expensive dedicated scooter insurance this is not always needed the liability part is usually covered in your home contents cover but obviously not the breakdown part, but always check  with your insurers and preferably get the fact that you are covered in writing before you turn the key on your scooter
