Spring Covid Booster (& brief update)

Another lovely sunny day in paradise to keep our spirits up - mostly!

Just a quick poll - has anyone else had the latest Covid booster jab, and how have you got on?

I’m going away for a few days after mine, and I’m hoping I don’t feel unwell as a result. I felt fine after the autumn/winter one, so 🤞 crossed for this one 🤷‍♀️🍀

💐 UPDATE: Thanks everyone for all your replies.

I’ve had the jab, and today have just a bit of a sore arm where the injection site is. It was Interesting to see how many of you aren’t signing up for this latest jab - our surgery was noticeably quieter than in previous vaccination sessions, and the invitation demographic much smaller. Hey ho, at least we are still given choices in this! Stay healthy everyone 💐

I had mine yesterday, she was very gentle in doing the injection & wouldn't do it until my arm was completely relaxed. As a result I hardly felt it and no soreness in my arm. I might have been slightly more tired today but thats all. I'm expecting to be right as rain tomorrow.

Thanks Peege. I suddenly became a little concerned that I might be pushing my luck with post-jab aches or worse, and going away plans. I shall trust all will be ok as before 👍🤞

Both me and lady wife had that, no problems at all.

i had mine this morning. My arm stiffened up while I was zonked out on the sofa this evening. Will probably stiffen up again tonight, but that's par for the course with me. After that should be fine. Enjoy your holiday.

That sounds pretty par for the course, I’ll plan to take it a bit easier ( no change there then!) 👍

Had it on Tuesday, achy and tired and didn’t sleep well that night but now woken up Thursday morning and feel ok apart from a slight sore patch around injection area but nothing of any significance.

Hopefully that’s as bad as it’ll get - pretty much what seems to have happened with previous Covid jabs in the past - thanks🤞🎉

Hello, had mine a couple of days ago, just a bit of a stiff arm for a few hours…no other issues at all.

Go well,

Pauline

I've been booked for mine next week, with my husband. He fits the criteria and I don't, according to the NHS website. However, the pharmacy is quite happy to give me the booster too.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one.

I have not had any adverse affects from previous covid jabs but my youngest son had a blood clot caused by this jab and my sister has been left with a really bad mental state so I am just not taking the risk. Due to my COPD I hardly ever leave my home anyway.

I do hope that someone has reported these on the yellow card scheme. Thank you for sharing.

Nope have not had mine either and l am sure that it has not done much for my existing COPD/Emphysema health issues, and since l have not been accepted for the Lung Valve opp, the letter l received about it was jsut a 2 line respose !! no reason given why etc.

I remember having the second jab back in 2021 and the day after I thought I was coming down with flu!

I had mine on Tuesday morning. My arm feels a bit bruised and tender if I touch it, and I have been feeling a little more tired than usual. Other than that all is fine. It was spikevax again for me. Hope yours goes well. Take care.

Had mine yesterday and feel fine. (Tired and groggy, but I’m in a lupus flare at the moment so that’s normal). Have a slightly sore arm but that’s all. Going away on Saturday for a week so was hoping all would be well and it seems that way so far.
