As you all know I have Bladder Cancer among my long standing ailments.
The cancer is aggressive but not spread yet as far as I know..
It is Cancer in site - None muscle invasive but the cancer can become invasive.
I have been on BCG Treatment - The last was a 6 week course direct into my bladder. I am now on a 3 week course as the first course did not work.
Rather than an operation I am requesting Radiotherapy - Chemo and more BCG as an alternative to Radical Cysoscomy an operation to remove bladder, prostate and lymph nodes and part of intestine to make a route between kidney and stomach (external)
That for me would be when everything else ha failed - I believe there is Keyhole surgery for this.
To close this - After this treatment ends I will be sent for a diagnostic Cystoscopy which is a day case to see what is what after the biopsies ave been checked.
So some will remember the mystery CT Scan I had - I found out today urology dept ordered it to see if a 6mm nodule on my lung has grown - So I wait for that I think 9 days ago.
Thank you guys for all your support, since I joined Health Unlocked.
I will update more a I know it.

I’m really hoping that your cancer doesn’t spread Ern and that this time the BCG treatment works for you. I’m thinking of you and wishing you all the best.
Hoping you get the CT scan results soon. Update us when you can please. Take care xxxxx🩷
Thank you Carole - I hope the BCG works, this time just 3 weeks. I am sure had it spread last time, they would have let me know. I will update about the CT Scan results, fingers crossed the same as last time. xx
I can see why you want to try further treatment first, as the operation option does sound radical. I do hope the BCG treatment brings you some better results this time.
Hope everything goes as well as possible Ern007. You are certainly going through a tough time at present. Hope you have support or someone to chat to. Always here if you need to chat. Brian
My god I feel for you, my mum had a rare cancer where they wanted to remove bladder, back passage and some intestine. But she refused to have it. Good luck chook 👍
Hi Ern 🙋♀️, good luck with the treatment, really hope you get a positive outcome 🤞and pleased you solved the puzzle of who ordered the scan 🙂. Keep us all posted xxx
Best wishes Ern. My fingers and toes are crossed. I hope the BCG works as well for you as it did for my neighbour who had bouts of BCG some years ago . xxx
Just wanted to send you best wishes as this sounds a big thing to deal with . It sounds like you know what you’re dealing with and how you want to proceed . I do admire your determination to be in control . So along with everyone else - I send best best wishes and admiration in spades !
Thank you HelenAlora - I want to be in control as long as it's a positive for me to do that. I am sure it's best to try all the options, and save the worst as a last resort. xx
Hi Ern, my first thought is how on earth can you paint such lovely pictures with such a mesh of things on your mind. Well I can kind of guess the answer: it takes you out of yourself and immerses you in a pleasure dome. I would like to think that painting is also a healing therapy. | wish you a full palette of colours and a new set of brushes! My very best wishes to you and thanks so much for updating us all. As the Bing Crosby song goes we have to "Ac-cent-u-ate the positive and E-lim-in-ate the negative." I wish you tons of the positive stuff.
Why thank you. When I paint I am somewhere else I can create even with the rubbish being thrown at me. At this moment I have painted a large planet not subdued. Where I am looking at the planet are lots of weird spike rocks- To small planets to give the painting depth,. I have steps leaving my planets and touching the other - Kind of a stairway to wherever. If it turns out OK, I will copy to a larger canvas. Thank you yes, I could do with tons of positive stuff,
Thinking of you and wishing you all the best. It's great you have your painting to take you somewhere else, and we appreciate you sharing your paintings with us too.
