At Last I have answers and know where I am.

I will make this post brief , as I have had more than my share.

This was my last BCG - I will be seen in about 10 weeks to see it it is still working, if not I will be considered for BCG again probablt.

The letter I got for a Thorax CT Scan - I have found out from who'm and why.

I asked my BC nurse today she she know anything about this scan. she did not but she went and checked.

Last year I had a CT Scan and specialist tolld me the anomaly on my lung had gone, and was just more scarring.

My BC Nurse told my today, they was following up what was on my lung and the CT Scan is to see if it has changed, eg got larger.

So at least I know where I am and what's happening, thanks for reading and commenting on my long posts .

Hopefully today was the last BCG you will have and it will continue to work.

Iam glad you found out the reason for your scan otherwise all thoughts would be going around your head. I think you have been through enough lately, its time to relax a bit xx

It’s good that you’ve had your last, and that you know why you’ve had another ct scan. Let’s hope the weather warms up so you can get out into the garden.

Bang on there Helen, I hate uncertanty and there is no need for it, at last I know where I am. Garden, would be good with sun, ideal day, gardening even bits weeding to make it look good, and painting later on. Been bad in North West, Rain though most of Spring and now into summer. I live in hope for a warm spell..

I like to know where I am, I don’t like all this ‘oh she might be upset if we tell how it really is!’

We’ve had a very wet spring, continuing into summer. Yesterday the air was warm even though the sky was grey. Today it’s blowing a gale and it’s freezing cold!

Thank goodness it's checking, not a sign that they suspect something worse. Why couldn't they tell you this when they made the appointment?

Wow, it’s so frustrating Ern, I know there are things they aren’t telling me yet I’ve told them I want to know. They just say the inflammation has caused a lot of damage and will have caused a lot more elsewhere in your body but time will tell? It’s frustrating and annoying! I’ve got scarring, lung nodules. They told me not to build my hopes up with ct scan as prednisone can be a placebo effect, it’s back to the drawing board if inflammation and fluid is still there. Why do they keep us in the dark, I know they think we are fragile and can’t handle it, but it’s the mental state of mind we struggle with guessing! Put the facts infront of of, we deal with it and move on.

Good luck and sorry for my rant Ern

Wendy xx

Thank you Wendy last year I had a lung scan and it showed nodules, that stopped my BCG for a while - The lung doctor wrote and told me the lung was now clear, but he had taken the shadows to the radiographer who said it was more scarring - WHAT TWADDLE, The are now testing me to see has that nodule moved. A good consultand it following it up.

So you have a lot of inflamation that has caused damage - I hope you CT Scan proves them wrong. grr sounds like my hospital chest doctors. So they say "prednisone can be a placebo" how is that? prednisone is an anti inflamation .

I really wish you well, I hope at least they tell you what or not you have. I agree give us the facts and let us deal with it,

No rant Wendy, abut rant anytime and please let us know how you get on Lost of best wishes

xx

Morning Ern, glad you've had what hopefully is your last BCG and the way ahead is a bit clearer. Weather in Dorset has been really awful, it's more like November than June. Wet and miserable. If anyone else talks about planet warming I shall scream cos it doesn't seem to be happening down here! Take care Ern and 🤞for some warmth and sunshine xxJoy

Thank you Joy - The weather oh I agree , it's the global warming that's causing us to freeze in summer. You also take care and will send to some sunshine when it arrives :-) xx

I always feel better when I know what's going on and why, so I bet you do too!

Personally, I can cope with most things except for uncertainty or general confusion, and I guess most of us are the same.

Thank goodness you've found some people who talk sense at last!

All the best,

xx Moy

Thank you Moy - and -Exactly. I can cope if I know why. I have found uncertanty and confussion leads to worry. At least now I know the road. xx
