Oxygen therapy.

I have also joined "At home with Oxygen " site as feel I need support and answers since prescribed Oxygen 24/7. I was surprised to receive messages from quite a few from this site who recognised me. I was not aware these people were on oxygen.

I will remain on both sites as I benefit from information for both my problems, COPD, Pulmonary Hypertension which has led me to oxygen 24/7.

I am quite educated on COPD and able to answer most questions.

Unfortunately being relatively new to oxygen makes me a novice and scares me . I need reassurance., and lots of support.

Feel very old now as seeing the younger generation on here.

Happy Easter everyone. . 🐣🐤🐇💕xxSheila

You're not old, dear Sheila. You look far too glamorous to be old. I hope the new site proves helpful and I'm glad you're staying on this one. Chris xxxx

Thank you Chris. Being prescribed Oxygen 24/7 was the one thing I dreaded. It came as quite a shock and I still haven't come to terms with it.

Have a lovely Easter, lots of love ❤️ xx.Sheila

I’m glad you’re staying with this group as well as joining the At Home With Oxygen group. We’d all miss your glamorous photos, and I expect, now that I’ve been diagnosed with ILD, it won’t be that long before I’m needing oxygen, and looking for hints and tips!

I am hoping to gain some knowledge..I am having difficulty accepting being on oxygen 24/7 it really has affected my life. I don't go out thesedays and mostly stay in my PJ'S . So different to my pre oxygen life. Having the cannular across my face 24/7 is so uncomfortable.

Hope you won't require oxygen for a while. Make the most of your freedom and enjoy every second outdoors.

Lots of love ❤️ xx.Sheila

I will do, although as I can only walk with crutches or use an mobility scooter outside, but I’m stopping with my daughter while my house is being made more user friendly, and her house has a long gravel driveway which is inaccessible by crutches or mobility scooter so I can only walk as far as her car but she’s away for the Easter weekend, so I’m a bit housebound at the moment.

Happy Easter Sheila. Please stay with us. You have always kept us going with your positivity and now it is our turn to be the wind under your wings whilst you accustom yourself to the inconvenience of the oxygen and learn ways of living with it from people who are old hands at it. I'm sure that you will be an expert before long and enjoying your life again. Much love XXX

Thank you, too much hassle to get out and about with the cylinders as very heavy for me to carry. I don't like the cannula across my face as get a lot of stares. I used to have people approach me to admire my outfits etc so can't accept being stared at. The members on "At home with Oxygen" site are very Positive and go out and about with their oxygen.

Hopefully their Positivity will rub off on me 🙏☝️fingers crossed.. I have not left my house for over a year so now have a fear of going out.

Have a lovely Easter. Lots of ❤️ xx.Sheila

people's can be so rude.it sounds like you've lost your confidence. I used to think you looked so lovely in your dresses but how long did they take to iron.

I use to have issues going out with the oxygen , but i now think it’s a bonus . I constantly cough , they think I’m infectious, then they realise I need oxygen and don’t judge me so much . The only bug bare is I get all dressed up , makeup and hair done . Then I have to have the cannula up my nose😟. But without this my oxygen decreases. So lovely glamorous lady , get out there and enjoy life again xx
