Got a letter this morning giving me dates for this treatment.
7th December - 14th December and 21st December.
While I am pleased to finally have got my dates, I remain uneasy as normally the outcome of biopsies are in the letter.
For the first time since my diagnosis, i do not know the findings of a biopsy.
The good new is if I am allowed BCG treatment it would suggest, even though my BC is high grade, this time it has been held - This on the face of it, good news.
Rattling in the back of my mind is they said the last BCG treatment would be the last - So why a change oh heart. They are confusing.
I will know I think of my first visit.
If I am now on a BCG Maintenance schedule - That is good news.

Thank you Carole for you kind reply. Normally I am optimistic. but they really have been inconsistent - at least I have a date now, and she said she would tell me then my results. Seems . xxx
you know what medics can be like saying one thing then doing another but like most people are saying let’s hope this is all good news for you, I’m crossing fingers and toes.
What a worry! If they'd just explained it clearly to you in the same letter as your dates you'd at least know where you stand! We are all sending positive thoughts for the best case scenario.🤞 Take care Ern ❤️xxx
I’m glad you’ve got some dates at least, Ern but can quite understand your concerns in the circumstances. I hope you get some answers when you go for your first treatment. Wishing you the best of luck with it xx
Since I was diagnosed it's been weird - I had a flexy cystoscopy and I could see a tumour on screen - Then I hade a TURBT a rigid cystoscopy and they removed the tumour - and was told the good new is. you have none muscle invasive bladder cancer. All was fine.
A further cystoscopy and biopsies showed none muscle invasive cancer again, but in situ.
In situ sounds good, but it's not that great CIS is aggressive. I was to be given another 6 weeks BCG - MDT changed that and offered a bladder/Lymph node removal - Eventually one more course of BCG was given/
I have had cancellations and given BCG again then took away.
That is why I am concerned, Threecats, xx Anyway hope to know where I am on the 7th,
Goodness me Ern, having read your history with this I can see why you’re concerned! It all seems very confusing and contradictory, doesn’t it. I do hope they’ll be able to explain what’s going on at your appointment next week and are able to set your mind at rest. I’ll be thinking of you xx
I am hoping I get to know the full SP on Thursday the 7th. Everything is contradictive as you say - I got a letter of apology over delays, that Threecats was pure comedy had it not been serious.. I was shocked over BCG, I was told cI could not have that again. Thank you Threecats, xx
I'm glad u have dates Ern. The goalposts move in medicine, all the time.Sometimes a consultant or MDT or evidence based research shows promising results etc,so they run with it.x
