My consultant changed one of my inhalers from incruse illipta to spiriva respimat, since the change my breathing has become harder and my chest is tight ,my throat is sore ,my sinuses are blocked and fits of coughing .Has anyone else had these problems

Many thanks in anticipation.

You had better contact your consultant. Not all inhalers suit everyone.

Hi, I had exact same reaction when seretide was changed to Spiriva (without consultation) . It was the MDI not the powder one. GP refused to change it a few years ago when I could get an appointment). Luckily I had a spare Seretide to keep me going. At asthma review the lovely nurse tutted when I explained and immediately changed it to Fostair which has been a game changer for me.

I can only suggest you contact your gp or respiratory nurse and hope they'll change it for you. Good kick. P

Hi, I'm not familiar with the first thing you mentioned but spirit has been my inhaler of choice for many years. If you feel you are in a worse situation now you will need to revert to your GP or specialist... I've spoken to a specialist's secretary before now and got the information or instruction I need more quickly. You didn't say why you were switched over?

Spell check is over active this evening! SPIRIVA not 'spirit'!
