Spiriva Respimat Dosage

question. Spiriva Respimat Dosage Is fab and has made such a big change to my breathing but it only lasts until approx late afternoon.

Does anyone take more than the two puffs a day?

Spiriva is a 24 hour dosage it's a LAMA ... Long Acting Mucinagenic Agonist (helps open airways and shift mucus) ... but its dosage as far as i know is once a day because it lasts 24 hours

I use to take it 5yrs ago, if I remember correctly, I took it twice a day, to be sure look at the dosage, if it says 60 dosage, then I did take it twice a day, I do know that 1 cylinder is for 1month, I get 3 inhaler every 3months ..hope that helps.

Hi, I use spiolto respimat which is of the same family of drugs. I too find it very good but you are advised to take only 2 puffs per day of Spiriva and Spiolto because of side affects. I would speak to your doctor/GP. i assume that you have a reliever inhaler for use at other times. good luck for the future. kevin

Possibly time to move onto Spiriva 18microgram inhalation powder capsules with HandiHaler (Boehringer Ingelheim Ltd) , I believe it’s a lot stronger . I’ve been on it for many years and is my most important drug In my mind

I take 2 puffs twice a day.

Spiriva is taken twice a day, l take mine at 8am in the morning and then 8pm in the evening.

Hi, I was taking Spiriva Respimat 2 puffs a day plus Fostair 2 puffs twice a day. I found the affect only lasted until mid afternoon and needed Ventolin to top me up. Last month I was put on a new inhaler, Trixeo Aerosphere. It works extremely well for me and no side effects. I can now walk up hills without getting breathless etc. So helpful having only 1 inhaler to use twice a day.

ooo thanks for this. I get exactly the same. By midday it’s worn off. I will ask the consultant about change.
