How do you mean? My initial thought is rest, pace yourself when you do feel able to do things and allow time to recover. Actually allow several days to begin to feel better as well as the steroids and antibiotics take time to kick in.
But I'm not sure if that's what you mean?
Hi, it is also important to finish the complete course of antibiotics and oral steroids even if you start to feel better after a few days. Just make sure you look after yourself and rest. Take care.
I'm sorry to hear you're not well plus getting to grips with a new diagnosis of asthma. This info from Asthma UK may help: asthma.org.uk/advice/trigge...
If your symptoms worsen then don't hesitate to contact your GP or the NHS 111 service out of hours.
Personally, if I have a chest infection I rest (no work or chores), drinks lots of fluids, take paracetamol (for any fever symptoms), eat simply. I also have Holland & Barrett Vit C & Zinc lozenges on hand, gargle with Listerine (if I have a sore throat) and complete any courses of antibiotics and steroids that have been prescribed. If I have phlegm on my chest I use the huffing technique to help clear it (much better than coughing endlessly). youtu.be/ZXsWJcQ5TbE
Hope you start to feel better soon.
