Edit..... I am a friend of asthmagirl who asked me to remove this post so that it does not cause any more distress and upset to other forum users, she would like me to apologise on her behalf for this post, it was not meant to be an emergency medical attention post and she is very upset that the moderators' saw it as that, hence the deletion of it. Hopefully she will be back on here in the not too distant future.

Get help the sooner the better and the more time u have to play with. Delays make it worse if your medicines dont help you you need the hospital.

HI,

Can understand your problem but if you haven't gone already really think you need to get help soon - lips or anything else going blue really not good!

Re the job: do they know about the asthma and that you may sometimes need time off for this? Will they be sympathetic - they certainly ought to be though I know it can't be the best intro to a new job! I agree the timing isn't great but even if you don't go into hospital now I can't imagine you're going to be at your best tomorrow after this and may just end up having to go in tomorrow when it may be worse.

Sorry, probably not what you want to hear! I do understand where you're coming from though with work, even though I've not so far needed to go to hospital, but given what you've been advised probably do need to get some help asap.

Hope you feel better

Blue lips = 999

Sorry to be blunt but you sounds sick you need to get help asap or you may not be needing your job anymore. You are risking your life by delaying treatment.

Hope you got help and work will understand xxx

Good luck with work,

but pf 100 & blue lips = help needed soon. Don't know if you've had this before but esp if reliever not helping, pls at least call G.P. out of hours, go to A&E or if not able 999 for ambulance. You need to listen to GP & consultant or as florence says you may not need your job anymore

As others have said, you need to seek medical advice; we can offer nothing more here. This is one of the reasons why we don't allow emergency medical requests to be posted on the boards.

If you are ever in any doubt, visit A&E (or call 999) - it is better to seek medical advice and find that you don't need it than it is to wait until it is too late. If your asthma becomes bad, you would not be able to work, so your GP and respiratory cons are offering sound advice.
