Flutiform 125 to Seretide 125

Up until the other day I was taking Flutiform 125 2 puffs twice a day on normal days, 3 puffs twice a day on days I exercsises and between 3 and 4 puffs twice a day when I was sick/having an exaccerbation. I tried montelukast which didn't really do anything except prevent me from sleeping and my asthma nurse decided to swap me to Seretide 125 in MDI form to see if it helps more with the exercise induced asthma as I am generally controlled... However, with this switch I have lost the flexibility I had with the flutiform so I can't increase my inhaler when and if I need to anymore. I am stuck with taking 2 puffs twice a day. If I get a cold there isn't a lot I can do except go back to my GP to get it sorted whereas before I had the ability to treat the exaccerbation to some extent and then go to the GP if my asthma still wasn't playing nice with the higher dosage of inhaled steroids...

The jump to Flutiform 125 to seretide 125 seems logical enough but now I feel like I have lost some of my independence, as I don't even have an asthma action plan anymore [other than go to the GP or A&E if needed]... I see my GP in 4 weeks to review but I am not sure what he will think of this situation. With flutiform, I had 2 different strengths of inhaler [50/5 and 125/5], I'm not sure if that would be an option with Seretide [using the 125/25 and 250/25] as the 250/25 is quite a high dosage and my asthma nurse is already reluctant to keep me on the 125 dose... Any suggestions guys?
