sertraline & loose bowels

Hi,Ihave been on sertraline 50mg for 5 weeks & 100mg for 8 days.I still wake in the morning with anxiety & then have to go to the loo 2-4 times. This only happens in the morning although I can still feel anxious into the afternoon.Are the loose bowels a side effect of Sertraline?

hi lancia, i just started on this drug 4 days ago, i normaly suffer with constipation but have had loose bowels since starting it. i dont know if its the drug or my nerves lol. xxx

Hi lancia funny i was gona ask the same but didnt have the guts i always have it 1st thing in morning terrible i am on citropanol and was worrying cos it happens every morning and then terrible feelings in my stomach till later i think it must be our nerves love xx

Ive been on sertreline + can tell u that its a very common side effect of sertreline, theres also nasea + headaches u can get wiv this. uve only recently put ur dose up which wld cause this but was u still havin problems wiv them 4 the 5 wks b 4. like i said sertreline does cause these syptoms but shld ware of normaly after a week or the most 2. If u can tolerate it u cld hang in there a little while whilst u get used 2 the 100mg but if u feel the need do go + c ur GP. ur anxiety hasnt got worse since takin them hav they as this can also b a side effect that also usualy wears of. sertrelines 1 of them in that som people do really well of them + they r really good if they work 4 u but there is also a lot of people who strugglewiv this antidepressant + the side effects. hope u feel beeter soon
