Hi. tracy. Antidepressants can do this. The side effects are sometimes not very pleasant but they do subside. You have not been on them long so you have to give them a chance. They can take up to 3 weeks to 'click in'. If they continue to cause you a problem then let your GP know and they can usually replace them with some other less disruptive ones. I was on Citalopram and it did give me problems to start but they did pass. People react differently to different drugs so do not be too upset by your reactions. The lack of energy is the result of your anxiety and is a common symptom in this illness. Just rest up as best you can. Don't sit around, that's not what I mean, but do things more slowly. As you recover, and you will, you will feel less tired; but give it time. This is not something you can just jump out of. Yes, it does get better but I repeat, it takes time. Now this depends on how you go about it. Fighting, struggling, worrying will not help so try and go with it. Accept it as how you will be for a while, horrible as it is. Recovery lies in ACCEPTING the symptoms and NOT fighting them.. Keep posting and let us know how you get on. You are not alone. Best wishes. jonathan.

Hello, Ive been taking cilatrpram 6 weeks now, started off with an upset stomach and spent the first 4 weeks not sleeping but I can honestly say I feel so much better now they have settled into my system. Don't rush into anything take things slowly and you will start to see light at the end of the tunnel. And I agree with everything jonathan6789 has said, don't fight it accept the feelings. your not alone and you will climb out of that black hole. Take care Linda
