Time specific anxiety
I noticed with my it was towards the nite. It was all down to my anxiety attacks myy partner was a van driver so he Cud finish earlyer or later, mostly late. So I Wud get back from picking the boys up from school, and by the time I was back home I was having anxiety. Think it was the thought of having one while alone with the boys. But now I know I was adding fear to it so it happened x
Hi. Mel. I think this is a perfectly natural happening. What you had was a very deep trauma and it would be very surprising if it did not come back to you often.
I find these dark evenings often bring up memories of when my GAD started and I get flashbacks to how I was then. Not too much to worry about but it is there. This time of year is a kind of introspective time for a lot of people. Our energies wind down and if in an anxiety state it makes us feel worse. We look back more than usual. Bless you and good luck. jonathan.
Definitely varies during the day and I'm not surprised that you feel worse around the time your wife passed away and due to such a traumatic event.......that would lead to strange feelings about that time of the day whether you were an anxious person or not. It would be forever etched in your memory and that is completely normal.
Time will play a part of course and with time the feelings should ease a little though you won't forget.
This dark time of year is notoriously difficult too and it's dark so early so many long hours of evening which can be difficult for many people.
Take good care ........best wishes PL
