Hi, i have been taking prozac a few months now,but have developed bad head aches,has anybody else had this problem, thanks

Hi. Gordan. It can be the tranquilisers or just the good old anxiety! This side effect is common but if you have problems with any medication you should check with your GP. Anxiety, if bad enough, can 'override' the medication. I have not taken Prozac so cannot make personal comment. Can anyone else? Hope you feel better. Kind regards. jonathan.

Hi Gordon I have on them but I had to come off them as the side effects got to mush for me and yer one of the side effects was having bad heads but saying that I still get them I think it's just part of what we are going though ..

Hi Gordon, I am in my second month of a course of Prozac, and I have used Prozac previously, with a major improvement in my ability to think clearly, and to lose the dark clouds of depression. I have felt movement as it were in my head, perhaps a glass of water to fix it, and I am aware of the benefit of confidence in your medication. I avoid alcohol, and as with a lot of the posts, I agree that there are good days and bad days. A part of our human condition. The Feel better Factor, can be helped by [without wishing to patronise], counting your blessings and take heart in the positives in your life. Onward and upwards Gordon.

I had headaches in the beginning but they did stop after a fews weeks, like its been said by others it may be the prozac or it may be your condition giving you like tension headaches or something, i get tension headaches now when my anxieties high and im not on prozac now so i cant blame them

I used prozac mainly for depression it worked well for me so i hope your headaches ease and you have a good experience with it. You could always check in with your GP if they persist

Hi Gordon, I too suffered headaches and other side affects within week 5 of taking them. Due to the other side affects & it didnt do anything for me I came of Prozac. Now on Setraline,

If you are feeling better on them apart from the headaches id say stick with it & you will know when you need to contact your GP.
