I've practiced "freewriting" and it does help. this is when you sit with a pen & paper or at the computer and write/type whatever comes to mind - no planning, pre-thinking or reading it back just freeflowing, unconscious, thought. you don't have to look at it until you want to. You can also audio record your thoughts in the same way.
I've done this for many years and it gets easier.
I've been shocked; saddened; surprised; upset; moved and heartened by things I WROTE!
I've discovered feelings I didn't know I felt.
Learned things I didn't realise I knew.
I have accepted me.
hope it may help.
regards,
sandra.

i used to write poems, when i was really down ,similar thing really, just let my thoughts ,feelings or scenes i saw in my minds eye flow out through a pen ,no idea what they were going to be about or where they were going ,but you can write things down that are hard to tell anyone else and it did help release a lot of emotions and you can choose whether to share them or not ,but surprisingly many who did read them found they experienced the same things and could really associate with them
hi. I agree. it does help. I have a mini diary in my phone and every evening, while in bed I try to type what Im feeling and how was my day. I recommend it to everyone. take care
