Does anybody get or have a cough that brings on anxiety or panic attacks one that comes and goes

I used to have and coughing does and can start them off.

Thanks it's a recent trigger symptom for me I seem to sort one out and another takes it's place thanks again .....Mel

Before we were married my wife used to have a nervous cough. Every time she was in a stressful situation she would start coughing.

It slowly disappeared after we were married.

I had an asthma attack once years ago in the middle of the night and now if I have a bad cough I panic that I can't breathe properly

Hello there sorry about the asthma I've got four family members who have it there seems to be a lot of us with this anxiety breathing thing although mines not as bad as b4 after I caught a virus over Christmas last yr I'd never been so ill but my panics changed to something different not so bad but still a nuisance wish you well with yours .....Mel
