Is it possible to get rid of these panics?
If you find the answer please let me know x
Hi, I think it is. It depends on the person, but I do think it is possible and or at least to alleviate it. We've had people who have had PTSD, bad panic attacks and they have dramatically stopped. See our website for more information and email should you need more information or assistance. Thanks
hi john been given mirtazipine by my doctor but too scared to take them but i am too scared to go out alone and too scared to stay in alone i have to have someone with me all the time do you think it is too late for me to do this without meds or do you think there is hope x
Let s hope so...surely we can get better!
milo1 you can do it with no meds, just be rational and think twice before making that decision, you don't want to rely on meds. anxiety is a state of mind, behavior that you get used to do it on a daily basis, you need to train your mind back to normal.not easy, i try most of the times, sometimes I am ok and sometimes I am not. I refuse to take meds, those GPs knows nothing, is just very easy for them to stick us with tablets and shut us up.hang in there body and we will figure something out
The way I see it is that medication gets you out of a deep hole - then you are stable enough to start working on changing the way you think about life by therapy, mindfulness meditation, exercise etc. I hesitated with the medication decision until I read a book called 'The Panic Diaries' by Jeanne Jordan & Julie Pederson where they say that sometimes you get stuck in a pattern of thinking which is very difficult to escape from. As they say "you can't teach a drowning man to swim, first you've got to throw him a life jacket". Hope that helps.
