Hello, I am on Rivaroxaban for my afib, apparently I tolerate it well as my bloods were fine. Getting afib/palpations gave me anxiety and now I have been prescribed escitalopram and of course I searched the internet and come up with the worst. Having health anxiety multiplies how bad I think side effects will be. Anyone on this sort of meds. I mean surely my doctor would know what I am on before introducing the antidepressant.
Rivaroxaban and escitalopram: Hello, I am on... - Anxiety Support
Rivaroxaban and escitalopram
I have used escitalopram for about 5 months, I am not sure if it helped, I stopped now and everything is as before, headahces, chronic headaches. The worst is that I ahve been doing therapy and I thought I am learning how to manage my emotions and my thoughts but not really. I guess it needs practise for years. The side effect of escitalopram is zero sex drive, now that I stopped it is better.
Hello, Apologies I just got to read your question. Escitalopram is mostly prescribed for chronic anxiety disorder. Yes I am on since few years 5mg a day. No side effects. If you absolutely new to anti deps then there MIGHT be some side effects initially. Speak to your doctor. Nevertheless, in my case, Escitalopram is way better than most popular SSRIs
Hi Rnfrds10, I am on both Lexapro and heart medication for both Mitral Valve Prolapse
as well as A-Fib. I'm on daily dose of blood thinners as well and levels are consistent.
Your doctor knows your case history and is the best judge in what's best for you.
You're not alone. xx
