They did an ultrasound and determined it lipoma, a cluster of fat cells, well I decided to google it instead of allowing myself to accept that answer and it says lipoma is moveable and softer to the touch, mine is neither. anxiety
Go to your doctor, tell him or her of your misgivings and ask for a second opinion. But if it confirms the first diagnosis then accept it. Anxiety tends to make us think 'they've got it wrong', it's rarely so but it will give you the reassurance you need.
It probably doesn't move because it is too close to the bone and not in a loose area of your body. My dog had lots of these all over his body and he was fine. I have some on my chest that are fine they are typically called fatty lipomas and benign. Anxiety thinking causes you to blow things totally out of proportion. It's a good idea to practice simple mindfulness to learn to disconnect from your thoughts and let them flow in and out without attaching to them. Learn to never believe your anxious thoughts and even your anxious feelings because they are lies.
