After my last psychiatrist I haven’t been able to find another one. I been on Zoloft for about 5-6 years on 25mg I recently increase to 37.5 but seems like it’s not helping getting those intrusive thoughts again and feeling sad for no reason. Dr requested to increase to 50mg what is everyone thoughts?

It is the nature of anti-anxiety meds, you have to try to attack the root cause of your anxiety/ depression. I find the best way is to help others, it not only takes your mind off your own problems, but the feel good effect is tremendous. The effort you it into to it too makes you feel good about yourself. Whether it is helping kids, old people, or animals it all has the same positive effects. Then you may be looking at a reduction in your meds, or like me off them completly..sort of. "What one man can do another man can do" and the harder you find it the more rewarding. Good luck.

i was on 200 mg of zoloft for 21 years, it helped me function normally. Im now trying Luvox as after so many years Zoloft failed due to extreme stress. Its worth trying. Side effects were stomach related.
