Fell in shower

So I slipped and was on the floor of the bathtub before I knew it. I hit my arm and the side of my butt on the tub. My arm seems ok but my butt is pretty sore. I’m really freaked out that I’m more seriously injured than I know, and that I’m going to be paralyzed or something. I don’t have health insurance so I’m extra worried. I’m 40 and I seem to have full movement etc. has anyone else ever fell in the shower and been ok?

Yes and I was OK, hurt butt and shoulder, I was fine.

If in doubt you can call your doctor and tell them.

I fall often cause I have leg problems and always seem to be OK after it.

Hi yoko, I fell down the basement stairs just before Christmas . Landed onmy knees and fell forward and hit my head (I'm on blood thinners) I am okay

but I knew what to do and what to look for. Still I let my doctor know of my

fall.

Are you on aspirin or blood thinners? Did you hit your head.

Did you black out before that?

You should call your doctor just to let them know. xx

I didn’t hit my head or blackout. I slipped on body wash or something. I’m not on aspirin or blood thinners and I don’t have a doctor currently. Or insurance.

You should be okay black and blue bruises may appear tomorrowbut that's normal.

Putting an ice pak on what hurts you most tonight will help

with the bruising. 15 min on 15 min off.

It can help reduce swelling as well.

If you feel as if anything is not quite right please go

to to ER (insurance or not) Hopefully you are okay

i/m sorry, i have a bath and got a bath seat as i cannot have a grab rail fitted~i have a sore arm etc,makes getting out difficult~i put the bath seat in bath at end and ease out~
