Around 30 years ago I was prescribed Stelazine and I must admit I did very well on it. Learnt to drive and flew for the first (and last) time!
Forward to now I’ve been on most SSRI’s the most recent and long term Sertraline. On max dose of 200mg. I requested a med review as Sertraline just isn’t working for me. I still suffer from anxiety and agoraphobia. The GP referred me to AMHT as they said they could prescribe drugs they couldn’t. So I had a telephone assessment with a health visitor and I mentioned my previous experience with Stelazine. After discussing with the psychiatrist they have asked the Dr to prescribe the Stelazine.
Yet why do I feel I’ve been fobbed off? I got what I asked for? Is it that easy? They didn’t have access to my records electronically to even prove I’d previously been on this drug? My GP practice phoned today and were ready to ask for a prescription yet there was no request to go in and talk it through? I’ve voiced my concerns and they have made an appointment in two weeks to discuss with GP. Just don’t know what to do for the best.
Has anyone on here been on Stelazine for anxiety (it’s an anti-psychotic drug)
