Hi I am about to begin therapy over the phone because I am suffering from bad anxiety been housebound for 3 years want to change... but my question is has anyone else ever felt flashes of dizziness like out of the blue... I've been told it could be part of meno I'm 47 female but idk I do occasionally get hot flash that causes me to have to sit right in front of a fan

hello, it sounds as if it could be the onset of the peri-menopause,though im well past that ,also what triggers your nervousness?I experience quite hot facial heat -to quite the opposite and this happens throughout my body,since 3years ago became aware of all sorts of changes in my emotional make-up..Both stress and Anxiety can for sure cause ,all type of symtoms,such as dizzyness ,sweating ,feelings like your going to fall--and im sure others can identify many different things brought on by their anxiety state!

Hello Nervous Lady , I am so pleased you are getting some help now, I was virtually housebound for 20 yrs, I have been having ongoing Counselling now for 10 yrs, some has been over phone although at a time when it was not accepted it could help, and since Covid have been having my counselling by phone only and it is a big help to me. I also went through my Menopause early i was 41 when my periods just stopped not seen one since, i am 57 now . Very often you follow your own mother re age you start your menopause. I have hot Flushes that are purely Anxiety Panic related, they feel much like Meno Hot Flushes. I had them many years Prior to Meno and still get them not as often long after Meno. I could tell which was which by how they affected my as the Meno ones were not or did not include the intense fear, also with my Anxiety hot flushes and dizziness , but i used to also sweat in different areas too, i sweat at the Elbow Crease, and Hands go cold and clammy but also sweat a lot, and the Intensity to run is higher. I would highly recommend CBT/ Gradual Exposure Therapy , this can be done with or without Therapist, as long as you have a Trusted Person in your life to be with and Encourage you. I am able to get out and about now, yes i go through rituals before i leave home, and i can only go to places within my comfort zone, which is roughly 2-4 miles around the area i live, this has enabled me to get to see Therapist Face to Face , be able to go shopping and walk my dog , and socialise with fellow dog walkers which has been brilliant .
