Constant pain and body twitches.

So I've been posting about how my anxiety has been worse since antibiotics, but I've also been having a constant feeling that my head is going to explode from pain, spine feels like it is going to be ripped out and is constantly in pain. Have been having acid reflux that hurts my throat. Finally I've been having random twitches specifically in my finger. Is this all stuff long term anxiety/stress can do? I'm on meds that try and combat the anxiety (and do for the most part), but everything just feels super tense.

I'm sorry you are experiencing such symptoms. Maybe you can let your doctor know: the one who prescribed the antibiotics. You could be allergic to that type of antibiotic...there are different ones to try. Have you tried a hot shower or bath? I hope you get relief soon.

I've been off them since December 20th. Everything has been happening since then. They do know though not to give me those antibiotics in the future.

Trippy, sometimes we have to be our own Advocates. It's okay to speak up

when a doctor is ordering medication. Keep track of what you were on and

what you experienced while being on that medication. The doctor will then make

the right decision for your health needs. :) xx

I can answer the acid reflux and twitching question. Yes to both. I had whole body twitches starting in 2007 that I thought would drive me crazy. They’ve lessened over the years but flare up when I’m anxious. Mostly in my fingers. Acid reflux is a killer when you’re full of anxiety. The acid sometimes comes up my throat and it feels like I’ve swallowed battery acid. Your stomach in general is super sensitive to anxiety. Deep breathing helps a lot. Download the Calm app on your phone. It really does help with trying to stay calm.

Funny you mentioned calm. I just downloaded it last night. Thanks for letting me know that those are things that can happen with the twitching and acid reflux. Only other thing I have had that is weird is nasal drip down my throat.

Nasal drip? Oh yeah. But that’s not really related to my anxiety. But it didn’t start until I was in my 40’s. All my sinus issues started around that time.

I hope the Calm app helps.
