Hi, this is my first post. I’ve suffered from Heath anxiety my whole life but recently it’s has gotten a lot worse. Due to my dad getting sick, buying a house, as well as planning a wedding during this pandemic. I started out just crying a lot and then begin tingling in hands and legs this had went away for the most part. Lots of headaches and head pain. I still can’t sleep and when I wake up I feel like I’m shaking when I’m not. I had to take two weeks off work and find it hard to do anything. I’ve seen two doctors both say I’m healthy as well as a A&E trip which also came back with no concerns. Just anxiety and something I have to deal with. Any advice would help?

Wow you are certainly going through a lot. Be kind to your self and take some time out for your self there are a load of free self help apps out there and a load of advice on this forum. Years ago I used to bat stress and anxiety back into its corner, this last year having gone through several high stressful situations I can’t seem to cope with them anymore. This site and a site called the worrygames have been a lifesaver for me.

I wake up in the night shaking feeling but I’m not actually shaking it’s inside me , I’ve had it for weeks now doctors say it’s anxiety even if I wake up in the night it’s there and I am so exhausted all the time xxx

Oh my! Do I feel you. I have had about three bouts of panic attacks and still suffer from anxiety, throughout my 52 years on this planet..I had so much happen the last few months...break-up, I had a health scare and a loved one passed away-seemed like one thing after another (then throw hormones into the mix and boo). And, the fact I was always feeling inadequate at work as if I could never do anything right. I too have taken time off work as I could not sleep, my mind was constantly racing, all those neat symptoms of major stress; crying, shaking, can't eat, can't sleep and headaches too. I use the Calm and Headspace apps to continue to calm myself down, especially when those feelings come out of nowhere! It's awful. (A counselor years ago taught me something called anchoring that helped (i think it was)-google it for an explanation) I have never taken medication, that's just me. People who have never had these feelings just don't know how it is. I read that symptoms peak in 10 mins and can last 30... so the feelings will pass. I have a hard time convincing myself at times. Just know you are not alone!
