First off I’m 33 yrs old. I’ve never had stress about anything. But recently I had what I thought were health issues. Turns out the DRs think it’s health related anxiety, after blood work echocardiogram and stress test.
My question, can anxiety manifest itself into numbing/tingling, and pressure along the top back and front of my head and tingling/numbing in my face and Down my neck? I also have stomach issues that have been the same for about 2 months. Just don’t feel normal anymore as well as tingling in my arms and one leg. I’m really about to ask my Dr for an MRI...
The Dr’s prescribed off brand Zoloft and my symptoms felt worse. So they then switched me to 10mg propranolol as needed. But I only take 5mg because meds scare the heck out of me too. My symptoms seem to respond to that but I just want to know if anyone else has experienced facial, head numbness/tingling with health anxiety.
Thanks!

I too suffer from health anxiety started as GAD, then more so into health anxiety. I’ve recently changed my diet some what, after have sessions with an anxiety expert who told me, what I’m eating could have a huge effect on how I’m feeling, cut out dairy and red meat from my diet, eating less sugar and salt and I’m slowly starting to feel less stressed about my health, it’s an awful anxiety to have, it’s quite obsessive... try to alter your foods, this has really helped me, I’m finding I’m not obsessing over my health every single day now, just pops up now and then, hope this helps
Thanks for the advice. Back when all this started at the end of September I went from 278Lbs to 239this morning. Just changing my diet and exercising . Thats what I don’t get I should be feeling better!
Yeah I thought about it. I’ll have to check it out. I just want to feel better. I’m afraid lol, I don’t like it. I commend people who have dealt with this stuff for years!
You just solved your own problem in one sentence.the loss of your Father. I cannot tell you in how many ways this affected me and my health. When the strongest person in your life dies, it affects us in so different ways, but hypochondria is number one. Fear of our health and well being and many side effects that go along with that. It is a wake up call to take care of ourselves, as noone else is there to do it for us with the love that went along with it...
You will be fine and this is a time for growing and self awareness.
If I made it through, you can too. Just know that you are being cared for from above and God bless you in this difficult time.
Aw such kind words thank you so much, I’m so pleased I found this group.. some times late a night when your thoughts are all over it’s great to pick up the phone to express feelings and know people are here to listen and support ❤️
