Im very scared of losing my sight. I've been having worsening eyesight since this past year in my left eye and i've discored that my right is also worsening.
I also suffer sometime from eye pain and one night i saw white transparent lines in my vision.
Im so scared.
Im only 20 years and i love to draw, ly dream career is the game art. I wouldnt be able to do that if i go blind. I feel like im already mourning my sight when its still there but my worsening vision worries me so much. I have an appointment in 2 month to check if everything's okay with my ophthalmologist and also my neurologist.

Eye pain can be a sign of lack of sleep or staring at a screen for too long. It’s good you have an appointment, until then, rest, minimise screen time and maybe it will mean you might need glasses. It doesn’t mean you are going blind. Good luck.
Why wont the optician do immediate refferal to emergency eye clinic. ? Three times has major issues each time say day referral
Once had long distance suddenly gone blind in one eye. Big op saved it. Now such bad cataract gel stuck on retina must have op in London. Waited since January it’s down as urgent but Covid stopped the op. Last three months my low Bp three infections can’t do it. I’m not scared know Will get op
I’d loosing sight they should treat it Hospital I’d get second opinion at different opticions. Or ask them why this is happening why such delay etc. Phone get full explanation. Hope things go well don’t be fobbed off x
Hi I agree that it is very unlikely you are going blind. I would make an appointment with your optician now to put your mind at rest.
Probably need to address perhaps a astigmatism, test for near or far sightedness, you'll get glasses or may be youll be a fit for contacts, but this isnt going blind.
Hi! I hope you're faring better these days ✨ I'm also going through same thing these days. My vision is blurring pretty badly (I already have glasses), and I've been seeing an increase in floaters in my eyes. I have an appointment soon, but I'm really crazy anxious about it (though I'm trying not to think too much about it).
Anybody who lives near London please note that Moorfields Eye Hospital in Old Street has a 24/7 A&E service, just turn up and say its an emergency and things just got worst and they will give you a proper eye examination that will set your mind at rest or provide a medical solution. But waiting times once you get there can be up to a couple of hours but so what your eyes are worth it.
