Hiya, The first time I went from 20 to 30 I didn’t have any side effects but then the 2nd time I found I did but not as bad as when I first went on citaloptam and I only felt it about 2/3 weeks in.

Hey jimmy

Everyone is different and reacts to this drug in many different ways. My side effects lasted between 4-6months but didn’t fully go away and this was at 40mg!

After 12 months I’m down to 20mg and feel like myself again with side effects flaring up now and again and is manageable.

One thing I have learned is that it helps you to concentrate on the right things like reading, exercise, calm app, all stuff that I don’t usually make time for because I’m too busy with everything else which was the problem in the first place, not making time for me.

Concentrating on the negative things like overthinking situations makes the side effects worse and over time you get use to this as a trigger alert and learn to change whatever your doing or take a break and think of something more positive.

As I said everyone is different and I could write forever about my experience and this is just a snippet of what I have learned over the last 18 months since taking cit and having my first panic attack. It does get easier believe me.

Good luck
