Venlafaxine 75mg.

Tomorrow I suppose to start with my new dose and iam scare or I should say worry. I don’t want to end up in the hospital now because iam afraid of COVID-19. Some help pls.

I’ve been on venlafaxine for 20 years plus?

The most I took was 300mg and believe me the helped me hugely

But for the past 6 months I’ve been weaning off them slowly the reason is they was making me have a rapid heart rate but that was because of the amount I was taking and because I was taking them for 20+ years now I’m down to 75mg half in the morning half in the evening and My heart rate is for the first time at normal resting rate. Venlafaxine 75mg won’t harm you honey it will help you I also take 10mg propranolol which is a beta blocker and is also for people with fast heart rate and this keeps my heart and blood pressure working as it should at a balance.. everybody’s experience is so different from your own everyone react differently to medication you may not even get high bp or high heart rate

Starting something new can be a stress point for patients.

I too have been a long time user who is on 75mg as a maintenance dose. The advice about different bodies, different reactions is also good.

Keep track of any side effects and keep in touch with your doctor every 3-4 weeks as you work out the correct dose for you.
