Covid worry

Hi all, I have managed to keep reasonably sane during these months of lockdown, working from home and trying to school my 7 year old. Last few days feeling really rough with sore throat, and feeling generally unwell. Worried about Covid as read sore throat is one of the symptoms. Have done an online chat with doctor and he suggested a few things for my throat to try but still sore at the moment. Should I order a test? I have asthma too and tight feeling chest but not sure if that’s just the anxiety 😕 help!

Well done first of all keeping calm up to now over the COVID , I started panicking from the moment it started !

First time I have let anyone near me that does not live in my house last week and even though I don't really have any symptoms I already am thinking I have and shall I order a test

I have Asthma and when I get anxious my chest get's tight also the inhalers can sometimes give me a sore throat

Have you checked your temperature ?

If it were me and I was worried and it was going to keep feeding my anxiety I would order the test

My Son works in a home for disabled people and he has had to have 3 done so far part of the procedure where he works , my friend had one done only at the weekend all of them have been clear

Not much to doing them and results are back asp so if you are worried get one done even though I have a feeling you will be fine

I have ordered a test this morning, I don’t have a temperature as yet and I too have asthma so have a tight chest but can’t distinguish whether it’s asthma related or not! I have been out and about for food shopping and to garden centres but not Unnecessary shopping! Just worry that although there aren’t new cases reported where I live in Northumberland it hasn’t gone away!! Hopefully just a bug of some sort? Thanks for your response 😊

There are bugs going about as well at the moment and I dread the Winter because I can imagine we are all going to get in a flap with the bugs going about not knowing is it a bug or is it something else

I imagine you will be fine but for the sake of the test that peace of mind is worth it

You will get the results withing a day or two once you send it back

I know my anxiety is playing with my Asthma , there is also pollen in the air which can give sore throat as well as Asthma but we seem to have forgotten all this which there is no wonder because of how things have been

You will be ok x
