Hello, I was wondering if anyone out there after discontinuing Antidepressants too quickly suffered very hot abdominal sensations ,mainly stomach but spreading across the back!
I am assuming it is nerve pain due to damage caused by Venlafaxine withdrawal as I had an ultrasound but got all clear.
Thanks to all out there & take care in these worrying times.

Hiya, it sounds like it could well be, Venlafaxine withdrawal is said to be akin to opioid withdrawal which does include aches and pains throughout the body, stomach upsets etc, I am not a healthcare professional I just have anecdotal experience from working in a rehab. Can you go back and discuss this with your gp? They may suggest going back on the Venlafaxine and doing a gradual decrease instead and maybe offer painkillers for the period too, hope this helps!
Thank you for your reply, I am back on Venlafaxine but symptoms persist, Pschyciatry claim it is not a withdrawal but an anxiety disorder, this is the second withdrawal I have had in the past 12 years but the first with these pains!
I find now I am intolerant to heavy painkillers like co codamol so just will have to suck it up I suppose. Currently I am VERY slowly coming off Venlafaxine so fingers crossed!
