Diverticulitis pain?

Has anyone experienced left side flank pain around the rib cage area when taking a deep breath with diverticulitis?

I had a TIA,(mini stroke) I do have Diverticulitis, I don't know if it is because I had a TIA but I do have a weakness on my left hand side, I have noticed in a slight pang in my ribs but have always put it down to the swelling of my stomach putting pressure on my lungs? I don't know if this is the case as I have never asked my Consultant. I will make a point of asking next appointment.
