why am I so anxious about sleep?
Have you been checked for sleep apnea ? I’m sure you’ve had your heart checked out many time like the vast majority of us have and have been cleared that your hearts ok.
With sleep apnea that’s not treated you’ll feel very tired when you wake up. You’ll also have racing heart when you wake up from the stress and lack of oxygen you’ve had through the night.
No I haven't been checked for that but is it bad?
If you have sleep apnea yes it’s bad not to be treated. You should talk with your Dr about having a sleep study.
If you have sleep apnea it’s treated at a 100% effective. Sleep apnea will give you high blood pressure a potential for a heart attack or stroke.
what if it just happened 4 days ago. Im not as tired today thoo but still tired? I really hoe its not that maybe its from all my stress and worrying?
You should have it checked out , it’s not a big deal if you have it and use a CPap machine to correct the problem. If’s very very common , but if nothing is done to correct it yes it’s dangerous. It also helps with anxiety because you body is getting the proper sleep without the stress on the body while your sleeping.
We can’t blame anxiety for all ailments if there’s something really wrong , so I would definitely have a sleep study.
I went to the doctors today to get tested if I got it and no I happily don't have it!
That’s very good news you don’t have sleep apnea.
The only way of knowing if you have sleep apnea is by having a sleep study done. Where you go to a sleep clinic and your hooked up to monitors that including a ekg machine. You sleep at the clinic overnight or during the day for about 8 hours.
Did you have this done ? If not what test did your Dr do to conclude that you don’t have sleep apnea?
honestly.. i think you're maybe trying your best to help her.. but i think a bigger thing to look at in her case is why she's so afraid of dying in her sleep. Where that anxiety comes from more mentally.. My guess is that when this anxiety lessens, she sleeps better also. Starskywalker.. correct me if i'm wrong. I looked up the symptoms also btw and yours seem to differ..
No your right! when the anxiety lessens I do fall asleep but when it's so big I cant fall asleep because of the fear but usually after a while I do fall asleep.
nce to know for you, than you have a direction to work on. Also maybe comparing to when you feel less anxious and you do fall asleep more easily also helps? Just thinking about this now.. but maybe if you get more conscious of what it is that makes you feel less anxious, it can help in turning it around. Just a thought
