side effects of Sertraline

My husband started on low dose of Sertraline about 9 months ago but as his anxiety heightened the doctor increased the dose to 50 mg and then 100 mg a day. He felt better and stopped the medication. Of course, back came the anxiety triggered by the most trivial events. He is sometimes literally frozen with fear, unable to move. Back he went on 50 mg of Sertraline, one at night but had awful diarrhoea. The next night he had nausea and felt very unwell. Why did this happen when previously he had not side effects to this drug and it helped?

I would advise you discuss your husbands needs with your GP. Did your husband tell your Doctor regards stopping the medication >

The reason I ask is sometimes if we are on medications for an extended period and withdraw from them you may have concerns when you return to that drug and you would possibly need time to become used to the medication once more.

Bring back your your doctor to recommend medication use
