I’m getting anxious because my last period was April 13th of this year. I’ve always had a month or so in between - and around 6-7 years ago I would go months without one as well. But now that I have health anxiety, I’m starting to worry. I have gained about 25 pounds in that time. Could that be it?
Has anyone else had this issue before? I’m scared of doctors.
Backstory:
I’m 37 years old and no health issues other than panic disorder.

I was that way. My period would come whenever. Once after my girls and got my tubes tied it came every month. Now I’m older I’m done with it. Check with your doctor. It does happen to some people. I don’t think it’s something to worry about.
I don’t think it’s something to worry about either, but it’s been YEARS since I’ve gone this long without one, so I’m slightly concerned. I’ll try and muster up the courage to seek out a medical professional; but came here to know I wasn’t alone. I once went an entire year without a period. It was weird because it was literally to the day a year when my period stopped and then started again. Since then, I’ve had several months in between (up to six) so this was just alarming. But since my weight gain, I’m fearful that has lots to do with it. Thanks for your input. Again, glad I’m not alone.
I agree with dolphin. Getting checkups are very important. Some illness have very little symptoms and ever person's body is completely different cell by cell.
